Practice 1 - its a bit slippery

First Timed run, slap the helmet! still no idea why it bogged down so badly, thought my day was done, 0 to 64 ft time of 4.7s

Second Timed run - little punch of the air, time to change gear then 32.07

Yesterday i posted a how not to drive Shelsley Walsh post

well here is how to do it, Adrian Williams going up in very damp conditions in 35.2

of course for my run it was much wetter, hence being 3.5s slower

First up is Darren Luke (ex caterham r400 / busa) in his new Force a few weeks back, it was all repaired and no permanant damage done!

and then our very own David 'Troublemaker Nelson at Saturdays wet event bouncing off the grass banks after the esses

Even with that little incident david was quicker than me, but i have a pocketfull of excuses why!

I was some 9s behind, but of course run in a different class

Full results from the L7 club class for the entire weekend, I was supposed to do the Sunday but went home in a huff due to only having 1 pratice and 1 timed run on the Saturday.  To be honest I needed the day off...

Back in September I did a trackday with the lotus 7 Club of GB at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.

Adrian a fellow class 3 sprinter was doing some in car videoing, and on the final session I let him past so I could follow his lines (I am the yellow/orange car he goes past on the main straight) as he is generally faster...

 Now although he was on slicks and I was on road legal acb10's he had a problem keeping me behind (remember it is not a race) and as you can see from his hands which are turning left into the armco position he was really struggling, and so let me by later on in the lap (see me in the left had mirror, just!)

 Anyway it was generally agreed that the acb's and not my driving skill where the real reason behind my performance...

But the main point of this post is that I have put the entire lap and a bit up on soabbox just as a quick test of the soapbox site

It has been confirmed that we are going to Shelsey Walsh next year as part of the Lotus  7 Speed Series ont he 1st July http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?Id=95850

And here is a video of Martin Groves setting the hill record in 23.77s, needless to say I will be going up much much slower than that :)
